YTT Testimonials:

This program has impacted every part of my life. I have grown and changed in ways more deep and broad than I ever could have expected. ~ Jesalyn Keziah

I absolutely loved this program! It has been a truly amazing and utterly devastating experience. I have re-examined parts of myself that I thought were gone or inaccessible, transformed my way of thinking about life, the universe, and everything, and come out a stronger, more complete-feeling person. The real gifts I’ve come away with from this course are confidence, community, and the ability to approach spirituality again. It feels like I have tools to heal myself now. The focus on developing connection with the Self and each other in this course ha made my practice much deeper than exercise. Thanks to Allison, Amy, and Ros for making such a safe space for transformation. – Holly Schmidt

Heart of Yoga School is my heart and home in so many ways. I never want to leave! ~ Sarah McDaniel

Yoga teacher training with Allison is truly holistic, a liberating and life-changing experience. As an older woman, I was initially afraid that I wouldn’t have the physical strength or flexibility to measure up. As a theological skeptic I was reluctant to imbibe the ancient sacred teachings of the yoga tradition. But I had happily attended yoga classes for years, and wanted to pursue the practice further. Allison’s training was rigorous, but allowed me to discern my own physical limits, and to find joy and compassion in my body.  And her playful yet wise approach to the sacred texts helped me to find my own meaning and wisdom within them. What a wonderful journey! ~ Anne Filiaci

This course has changed my whole approach to yoga, and ultimately the world. Spiritually, I am softer, stronger, more flexible, and more open than ever. I could not be more grateful for Allison’s guidance, integrity, humor, or deep knowledge of this material. ~ Katrina Martin

This course is exactly what I hoped it would be, and knew it would be. It gave me tools and knowledge to connect profoundly to my body and breath, which has transformed the ways I interact with the world. ~ Amanda Dahill-Moore

It was a truly life changing experience for meon so many levels. Allison is real, consistent, knowledgeable, and lives by example. What more do you want in a teacher? I highly recommend her training. It was so much more than I could have imagined. ~ Lucia Jones

I gave the basic training to myself as my 40th birthday present. Allison’s trainings are certainly for people who want to teach yoga but there is enormous value for anyone who sincerely wants to deepen their own practice and understanding of yoga. Allison’s trainings also attract some of the most lovely, loving and supportive people. I feel I have the most supportive extended family with all my fellow trainees. ~ Amanda Kingsbury

This has been one of the most blessed and lovely experiences of my life. This yoga teacher training is so unique because of the focus on philosophy. I can certainly say that I have transformed to an individual that is more wonderful and capable than when I started. There is a peace and overwhelming feeling of love that is suddenly present. There is a mindfulness of life and of the earth. I LOVED it. ~ Melissa Hines

Allison’s YTT was life-changing!  I made great friends, learned a lot about myself and deepened my personal yoga practice. Being able to teach yoga is great, but exploring how to lead a more peaceful life is what it’s all about. ~ Tom Griffen

Yoga teacher training was always something I had hoped to do in my lifetime, but by no means thought I was prepared for. If you have any reservations, put them aside. This course does not just prepare you to teach, it prepares you to live a balanced and fulfilled life, and that I think we all could use a little more of. ~ Danielle Adelaide Chu

I know I personally had concerns about my daily practice before signing up for teacher training. If you have those concerns, but feel deeply drawn to the training, trust your gut and just go for it. One of the greatest gifts Allison gave us through the training was helping us all cultivate a comfortable and relaxed daily home practice. Also, I think a lot of people question whether or not they want to teach yoga, but feel very drawn to Allison’s teachings. If you are excited about learning yoga from Allison, you will be excited to share yoga with others in some shape or form. You will build a deep-seated confidence through the practice of assists, understanding of yogic philosophy, and friendships you develop through this training. I can’t imagine a better setting to learn how to LIVE yoga. It’s a priceless experience, and I feel forever grateful to Allison and my fellow trainees. ~ Jessica Mlotkowski

I enjoyed how held we all were by Allison and by each other as we dove in deep to the many practices and teachings of what is yoga. It was a vigorous journey shared in sweetness with a bright gathering of souls. ~ Kerry Layden

This has been such an incredible experience on more levels than I expected – I’ve been especially surprised and delighted by the depth of our exploration of the yogic texts (Patanajali’s sutras, Bhagavad Gita etc.). My spirit has been deeply nourished, and it feels so important to understand this wider framework as a yoga teacher in the West. Allison brings both great wisdom and humility to her teaching of these texts. ~ Rachel Anna Cotterman

I had a magical experience in this teacher training. I didn’t just learn how to teach a yoga class. I had an embodied experience of the teachings from the yoga tradition. I’ve learned that the more intimate I am with my breath, my body, my practice, the more I will be able to get out of the way to make room for the ancient teachings of yoga to more easily transmit through me. ~ Danny Depuy

Allison’s Teacher Training is so much more than deepening one’s physical practice of yoga. It’s thecomplete exploration of yoga, and for me has been both cognitively and spiritually transformative. I know I will carry the experience, one shared with such a dear group of people, always. ~ Joanna Simoni

The focus on principles, compassion and self love helped to empower all. It was a truly beautiful experience seeing my self and others bloom with love, joy and confidence. I did not learn a trademark style but a way of life. Allison truly wants everyone to discover their truth, their yoga.  ~ Julian Davis

This course has changed the way I practice asana, the way I approach my relationships, the way I think about my life and purpose and the course I will take going forward. ~ Ros Schwartz

I cannot recommend this teaching enough. I was searching for deepening my practice, but was unprepared for deepening my life! Allison’s long and intensive study of yoga is a wealth of information for her students. She has done extensive teacher trainings and brings that wealth of knowledge to us. Combine that with her warm and giving nature, her humor, and her sweet voice and you have the makings of an amazing experience. If you are even thinking about it, take the plunge. It’s wonderful! ~ Cammie Moore Presler

I loved learning how to respectfully come into someone’s personal space and provide them with meaningful and appropriate physical assists to help them deepen their experience of the pose.  ~ Coco Peterson

Allison has an extremely strong foundation in the yogic texts along with a gentle and playful teaching style. She does a wonderful job of creating a safe and secure environment to learn and explore not only your physical practice but your approach to life. ~ Ginna Priola

It’s hard to put into words everything that I got out of this training. Whether you want to be a teacher, increase your understanding of yoga philosophy, or just simply want to find more happiness and contentment in your life, you can get the knowledge to do all of that through Allison and this training. In the learning process, you also get to develop the sweetest relationships with your fellow trainees in an honest and intimate setting. A truly grounding experience. You will never regret it, and continually be learning from it. ~ Rita Silver

Allison is an example of a true, authentic yogini. She leads by example, as a beautiful yogi, teacher, artist and musician. The YTT is very organized, thorough and focused, yet it moves along in a very calm, playful, flexible manner. Allison translates and teaches from the texts in a way that is easy to follow, yet profound. ~ Andrea Erickson

This training has given me an invaluable toolbox for physical practice, spiritual study, and self knowledge that I will use to better my life and hopefully the lives of others whether yoga mats are involved or not! ~ Sarah Donnell

I had no idea that the study of yoga was so deep. I feel more calm and grounded in my every day life, and have a greater appreciation for the spiritual/scriptural basis for yoga practice, and for the unique and supportive community at Heart of Yoga. ~ Rachel Wertheimer
