Want to start practicing yoga and not sure where to start? Or do you already practice, but you’re not sure about the connection between posture and breath? Our courses teach authentic yoga and aim to serve you in an intimate, nonjudgmental environment, to learn about your strengths, limitations, and needs. No matter where you are starting from, the intention of this course is to empower you with the knowledge and confidence to safely participate in yoga classes and/or to start a home practice.  You’ll learn a little bit about yoga philosophy as well.

In this course we will:

*learn about what yoga is and the different ways it can be approached

*learn basic yoga asana (postures) and appropriate alignment for our bodies

*learn how to connect our breath with body movement

Some benefits you might experience with a non-obsessive, regular and steady yoga asana practice are:

*calmer mind

*more flexible joints

*less back pain

*greater strength

*relaxed shoulders and neck

*a more realistic outlook

*greater resolve

*deeper breath capacity

*more restful sleep
