* Graduate of any 200-hour yoga teacher training
* Willingness to read all assigned books
* Willingness to practice vinyasa yoga every day (7 minute a day minimum)

This course aims to serve as a continuing education for those who have completed any 200-hour yoga teacher training. The intention is to help you deepen your knowledge, understanding and ability to communicate so that you might share the ancient teachings and practices  in an evolved and personal way.

Our first weekend together is a review of the 200 hour Veda Vinyasa YTT. Allison will fill you in on the main philosophical points and encourage you to study the vocabulary so that familiarity for terms can land more quickly. If you graduated from the 200 hour course with Allison, most of the terms will be familiar, and it will be a fantastic review! If you participated in a different 200 hour course, it may feel like a lot of information; especially if your initial training didn’t include much teaching about Indian philosophy! But no need to worry, you’ve plenty of time for further study and investigation. If interested in getting a jump start on the vocabulary, Allison is available for private sessions to help you get started with your studies before we begin.

There is a strong emphasis on the texts, Sanskrit pronunciation, chanting, and on yoga philosophy (Patanjali yoga, vedanta, bhakti yoga) and you will be asked to teach a short lecture on each of the texts we study. We’ll also dive into Joseph Campbell’s work in myth, and intensive sadhana. You’ll also learn how to play the harmonium and deepen your study of anatomy and physiology. View our curriculum HERE.

Having participated in three different 300+ hour trainings myself, I bring a well-rounded perspective on how to create an advanced training. I’ve tried to balance time and space for both discussion and lecture, and have eliminated all the dogma. I want you to find and practice YOUR yoga as a total joy.
