Rita Silver

At a time in high school when I began feeling lost and disconnected, I went to my first yoga class and discovered the experience of combining breath and mindfulness within movement. I quickly fell in love. After several years exploring many yoga studios, I found a spiritual home base within the walls of Heart of Yoga School. The authenticity and breadth of knowledge taught here compelled me to complete both a 200-hour Veda Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training, in 2012, and 300 hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training, to be completed October 2017, under the instruction of Allison Dennis. These trainings have helped me experience and cultivate practices of re-alignment with something greater than my individual self.

For me, the experience of yoga has been an extremely personal experience of slowing down, creating a space to both accept and challenge myself, and remembering that there exists a depth to life much greater than the sum of thoughts and emotions that ceaselessly swirl through the mind. I try to embody and share lessons from my practice in every class that I teach.

I offer mindful meditation and energizing flow sequences, regulated by the depth and steadiness of your breath. Each day and each person is unique, so I strive to offer a welcoming environment for all to explore their practice. My personal wish is that each student leaves class feeling a greater sense of connection to their own joy, peace, and trusting confidence in the direction of their every moment.
